Wakesurfing is the newest addition to water sports. You start off in the water laying on your back with a board that is not attached to your feet. You put your heels on the board and a hold a rope with both hands.
As the boat starts to move, the board will flip towards your feet and the resistance will help you stand up. It's important to go either right or left (depending on your preference) so that you exit the white water as this may cause you to loose balance.
Once you are standing on the water you will learn how to move your hips back and forth to accelerate the board towards the boat and back to the wave.
Once you have mastered that, then you are ready to release the rope and start your wakesurfing journey.
Once you are standing on the board, you can move your hips towards the wave to go up the wave and back down. This will give you the feel of surfing.
This is when you start at the back of the wave and accelerate towards the boat. You press at the top part of the board and jump, the board will jump with you. This is the basis of other more advanced tricks.
Probably the most common trick that wakesurfing professional love to show. There are many methods, however most commonly, you are squated, and you turn towards the wave, and then go down turning into a complete 360.
